About NOPI
Nonprofit Organization for Philanthropic Initiatives (formerly NOPI - Nonprofit Incubator) is led by women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We aim to provide comprehensive support and accelerate the impact of informal charitable projects, pending nonprofits, and established nonprofit organizations in need. Through our wrap-around support, we strive to empower organizations of all sizes to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

Commitment
Board members fulfill a two-year term and meet for 90 minutes once per quarter online. We communicate between each meeting via email as needed for client questions, activity updates, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
The mission of the NOPI Board of Directors is to provide governance, furtherance, and oversight of NOPI’s mission to help nonprofits in need. Through fiduciary and ethical guidance, the NOPI Board of Directors is committed to serving nonprofit leaders with inclusivity, experience, and care. We are committed to creating a board representative of the nonprofit sector’s diverse leadership and the communities they serve.
Selection Process & Timeline
Our Board reviews all applications over a rolling 1-3 week period. Initial screening focuses on skills alignment and commitment to our mission, and selected candidates will be invited to interview via Zoom.
