I will give said dog, a good, loving home and provide food, water, shelter and appropriate veterinary care at all times.

I will not keep my dog on A chain or runner for extended periods of time, and bring them inside during cold fronts, tornadoes and or hurricanes, heat waves or any weather related events that could harm my pet.

I acknowledge I am adopting a pet from The Pretty Pittie Committee, and understand that they do not and cannot provide the exact age, breed or weight class of my pet, and they use an educated guess to provide me the details of the pet I am adopting, that this is a RESCUE dog and they may or may not have knowledge of where the pet came from.

I will keep my dog as an indoor pet. When outside I will keep my dog in A fenced area or on a leash, and will not allow him or her to roam free, and will report to TPPC if my dog is ever lost or stolen or missing, and understand the microchip IS registered to TPPC for life.

I will not use shock collars, spray collars or any other negative reinforcement on said dog, unless instructed by A professional trainer, and all major behavior issues must be addressed immediately, and TPPC must be made aware of the situation and has permission to speak to the trainer, involved with any training classes and or suggestions, if TPPC disagrees with said arrangements, they can and will take over responsibility and make the necessary changes, decisions and arrangements.

I will not mutilate my dog ( remove claws, crop ears or tails) and agree to spay/neuter my pet at the age appropriate time and under no circumstances will I breed my pet. and I am aware that TPPC is not responsible for this cost. And I agree to provide proof of S/N if said dog is not already altered at time of adoption.

I agree to arrange for a video call visits, and give permission for them to contact my current and past veterinary references under any circumstances or if they feel my pet is in danger.

I agree that if for ANY reason I am unable to keep my pet for their entire life that I will contact TPPC to give them the first opportunity to retrieve the pet, before looking for other options, I agree to try every avenue before re-homing my pet, and that if in the event of re-homing TPPC must approve the next person, as well as the adoption fee that I paid for my pet is NON - REFUNDABLE. If TPPC wants to retrieve their pet I, the owner MUST keep the dog until transport is arranged and will not surrender my dog to ANY SHELTER OR RESCUE, and understand that I will be responsible for those fees and any legality proceedings.

I realize that this pet needs time to adjust to their new home, and agree to be patient, and provide love and care while they transition to their new environment. I understand that some pets do take longer than others, I am willing to work with them, and treat them like family.

I understand that my pet has seen a veterinarian prior to his or her trip, however they will need a follow up appointment for vaccines, de-worming and health checks, and will keep my pet current on flea,tick and heart-worm preventative during their lives, and will not seek financial assistance from TPPC for any of the above.

I accept this pet AS-IS, and assume all risk and responsibilities associated with ownership of this animal. I hold harmless TPPC and their volunteers from any claim, cause of action or liability of any sort of arising out of or in connection with the adoption, care, ownership or condition of this pet.

Once a Pretty dog, always a pretty dog. If I breach any conditions in this contract. TPPC has the right to rescind this contract and seek the return of the pet. Any attorney fees or court costs associated with the pets return will be my responsibility, and agree that in the event of my pet needs to be returned, there are NO REFUNDS. and will be responsible to cover transport and or housing costs in the event the dog needs to be held elsewhere.

I agree to these special conditions and will do my best to provide my new pet A new loving home.
