BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
To ensure every order is created with the time, care, and attention it deserves, please note the following:
Custom Cake Orders
• Require a minimum of 4 weeks' notice
• Subject to availability
• Highly detailed designs may require additional notice
Cupcake Orders
• Require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice
• Subject to availability
Bento Box Orders
• Require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice
• Subject to availability
Rush Orders
• Last-minute or rush orders are not accepted
• Orders outside of the above timeframes may be declined
These timeframes allow me to maintain quality, consistency, and a standard I’m proud to offer.
BOOKING FORM & RESPONSE TIMES
Please note that submitting a booking form does not automatically confirm your order or secure your requested date. All booking requests are subject to availability.
Once your booking form has been received, I will respond within 24–48 hours to advise whether I am able to take on your order for the requested date.
Quotes will be provided within 48-72 hours of receiving your booking form. Orders are only confirmed once the quote has been accepted and the required deposit has been paid.
DEPOSIT & BOOKING INFORMATION
• Orders are only confirmed once payment or a deposit has been received and must be paid within 48 hours of receiving quote, or date will be forfeited.
• Orders $100 and under: Full payment required.
• Orders $100–$500 & above: 50% non-refundable deposit required.
• Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.
• Once payment is received, your booking is secured and pricing is locked in based on the agreed details.
• Deposits are non-refundable due to holding your date and turning away other orders.
Please note: All custom cupcake and bento box orders are subject to a quoted price depending on design elements such as edible flowers, toppers, and specialty finishes.
You are welcome to make additional payments at any time prior to collection. Please send a screenshot of each payment for record keeping.
FINAL BALANCE & PAYMENT
• Remaining balance is due prior to collection.
• Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash at pick up.
• Proof of bank transfer must be provided prior to collection.
CANCELLATIONS & DATE CHANGES
• If you cancel your order, your deposit will be forfeited.
• Date changes may be accommodated subject to availability.
• If a new date is not confirmed within six (6) months, the deposit will be forfeited and a new quote will be required.
• Original quotes do not carry over to new dates.
If The Salty Whisk must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be provided and assistance will be offered to find an alternative decorator where possible.
DELIVERY / TRAVEL FEE
Delivery (if available) is calculated at $1.00 per 1km from The Salty Whisk.
For example, if the delivery distance is 10km, the travel fee will be $10.00.
Delivery availability is subject to schedule and may not be offered on weekends or peak periods.
QUALITY, STORAGE & ALLERGENS
• All products are made from scratch using quality ingredients.
• Cakes are made in a home kitchen where nuts, gluten, dairy, and eggs are present. Cross-contamination may occur.
• Gluten-free options are available but are not suitable for coeliac disease or severe allergies.
• No dairy-free or vegan cakes are offered.
Buttercream cakes must be refrigerated on arrival and brought to room temperature 1 hour before serving. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.
TRANSPORT & HANDLING
• Cakes are provided on a board and boxed.
• Must be transported on a flat surface (front footwell recommended).
• Air conditioning is strongly recommended in warm weather.
• Tiered cakes contain internal support dowels for structure.
• Once collected, The Salty Whisk is not responsible for any damage.
REFUNDS & ISSUES
• All cakes are custom-made and refunds are not guaranteed.
• Any issues must be reported immediately and the cake must be refrigerated or frozen until assessed.
