Stronger Together - Arkansas' Divine Nine Exposition

1. Participation (if chosen) will consist of:

• one photo of the individual participant (taken during the official photo shoot)

• one group shot of all the selected participants (taken during the official photo shoot)

• a few paragraphs (1000-word count max) of the individual participant, including relevant information about themselves, recognizing their organization affiliation and their community and social empowerment efforts

2. At minimum, selected participants must:

• be presently alive/living
• have Arkansas-based roots, i.e., resided in Arkansas for at least three years, born here, or raised here
• have physical mobility
• complete an online questionnaire
• participate in a 1-day (for only a couple of hours) photoshoot that will include a group and individual
• shot with an outfit change if the participant chooses
• submit a signed Interview and Photo Release form
• consistently check and correspond via email promptly
• represent themselves well during this process
• represent their affiliated organization well during this process
• travel to Little Rock to participate in the photo shoot (date and time TBD)
• provide their own attire and beautification for the photo shoot

3. Selected participants will not be compensated or receive complimentary copies of the issue in perpetuity.

4. Additional expectations will be shared with selected participants during the project's process.

• be comfortable with having their photos taken
• be comfortable with participating in group photos
• be comfortable in the attire that they choose to wear
• wear appropriate undergarments
• have physical mobility
• follow and adhere to rules and instructions
• have patience
• represent yourself well during this process
• represent your affiliated organization well during this process
• understand that ALL footage acquired from the photoshoot is subject to being made public for URBANE's official use in perpetuity

Additional recommendations will be provided directly to selected participants at the beginning of this project.

URBANE will only start this project if all organizations of the Divine Nine are represented at the beginning of the process. The project will not begin without all organizations of the Divine Nine being represented; however, unforeseen circumstances outside of URBANE Magazine's control may cause this project to conclude without all organizations represented as the project progresses.

You can submit yourself, or someone you think is deserving; however, not every submitted participant will be chosen. There will be a process of elimination to narrow our options down to no more than three participants from each organization for this feature.

Participants of any previous URBANE Magazine feature, article, profile, issue, or post – of any kind – will not be chosen. We will notify you if your submitted participant has been previously featured in URBANE Magazine.

A submitter can only submit one participant per entry. DO NOT submit duplicate submissions for one participant. Multiple submissions by one submitter on behalf of a participant are subject to disqualifying the participant. DO NOT solicit multiple submitters to submit on behalf of one participant. Multiple submissions for one participant will not increase the participant’s chance of being chosen to participate in this feature.

Chosen participants will be notified directly, so please be sure that you submit accurate contact information and that your suggested participant will respond promptly. The URBANE Selection Committee will proceed with replacement choices if your submitted participant has not agreed to participate within 48 hours/two (2) days of our contact.
