All vets work 4 weekdays, as well as their weekend component.

Procedure shifts are usually incorporated after 1-4 mths, depending on the individual.

  • How you'll be supported

👏 No sole charge - ever!

Specific vets are nominated as support each day, with expectations that most consultations are discussed, either during the consultation, or during a debriefing time with your support team.

Treatment shifts are supported through daily rounds sessions. Plans are made in consultation with the team & the case vets responsible for the individual cases. Changes to  patients & plans are made with discussion & consultation with the support team.

After-hours shifts have a backup vet rostered as your support.

This person is available as phone support, or to come in hands on, as necessary- case/ situation dependant. All our diagnostic modalities are accessible digitally, so blood test results as well as imaging results are available for assessment by the support vet.

We have a separate vet available as ECC support for those more critical & emergency patients, as support- again both phone support & hands on as necessary.

We have nursing staff on site overnight. The overnight nurse answers all the incoming calls, schedules after-hours appointments & is available to assist with afterhours appointments. The nurses monitor patients in hospital overnight, with veterinary support of the afterhours vet & back up vet as necessary.

We run regular education evenings, where different vets present on various topics. These can be accessed both by attendance or “at home” by logging in to these sessions.

🎓We have a strong focus on ongoing education, although in the first year of practice we believe that it is most important to concentrate on consolidating basic knowledge & skills.

  • This position will suit someone who is looking for a fully supported start to their career in a diverse multi-vet practice environment.
