  • What is Urban Locating Class?

    Urban Locating is a NASDA Scent work Sport focusing on dogs natural ability to source quarry. Urban Locating Classes are hosted at local parks which offers us both urban and natural coverage for hides! Classes are beginner friendly, offering hands on coaching during your runs as well as group rotations to work alongside other owners! This class encompasses all levels of dogs, beginners learn how to handle/cue, pair odor and work with their dog as a team. More experienced dogs are challenged with non-assessable/hidden hides, offset start lines, dummy hides and more! Challenges are given based on  your dogs current skill level. Classes are hosted by Thriving Vine Canine Dog Training and HeartoftheK9, both trainers holding titles with their perspective dogs in the sport. We love the sport and are passionate about helping others bond with their dogs through their natural abilities!

    Our class cancellation policy is 48hrs in advance so we have time to offer your saved spot to another team. Meeting details for your class will be sent out a few days prior via email. Details will include location and meeting details with a labeled map of the area, as well as what to bring.
