    Who's Eligilble: College bound high school seniors residing and enrolled in schools within the Macon-Bibb and Monroe School Districts. The student must be accepted into a two or four year college | university. Please review the entire list of scholarship requirements before completing your application.

     

    About the Scholarship: Our scholarships are intended for students who have demonstrated a strong dedication to their educational institution, and local community. The MMG-NPHC seek to honor student leaders who have actively engaged in meaningful roles, such as club presidents, student council members, and other leadership positions.

    We firmly believe in the transformative power of education and its ability to shape lives and communities for the better. We aim to empower the next generation of leaders who will make a positive impact in their surroundings.

    The Macon-Middle Georgia National Pan-Hellenic Council will award two (2) $500.00 scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors.

     

    About Us: The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was established on May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C., and incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois in 1937. The NPHC is the  umbrella organization that consist of nine collegiate African-American Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities.  

    Members of the NPHC are passionately committed to serving their communities and upholding the values and mission of their respective organizations throughout their lives. The NPHC, often referred to as the "Divine 9," comprises the following distinguished organizations:

  • MACON MIDDLE GEORGIA NPHC 2025 SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  •                            Macon-Middle GA NPHC Scholarship Criteria 

    1. High school senior graduating from Bibb | Monroe County School Districts.

    2. GPA Requirement of 2.75 or greater on a 4.0 scale (mail offical transcript).

    3. Proof of acceptance letter to a two or four year college | university.

    4. Applicants must submit the following:

    a. Letter of Recommendation: All applicants are required to submit a signed letter of recommendation, ideally from a school teacher or community leader. The letter must be typed and include the following information: the recommender's name and email address, their relationship to the applicant, the applicant's community involvement, an evaulation of the applicat's character, the duration of their acquaintance with the applicant, reasons why the applicant is deserving of the scholarship, and the recommender's signature on official letterhead.

    b. Letter of Acceptance: A letter of acceptance from the college or university is required.

    c. Application: All applicants are required to complete and sign the application for submission for your package to be accepted. All documents must be included for the packet to be considered complete.

    d. Headshot: If selected, a professional head and shoulder photograph (3x5-inch or 4x6-inch) will be required. It must be suitable for other publications.

    e. Awards: The funds will not be distributed until verification is received from the college or university.

    5. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.

    6. Deadline: The scholarship application must be completely submitted/received by the MMG-NPHC no later than March 28, 2025 at 11:59PM. Incomplete applications that are not received by deadline will not be eligible for consideration. 

    7. Essay Requirement: All applicants are required to upload a typed 2-page word essay, double space, 12-point Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins on all sides, and name typed in the upper right-hand corner of EACH page.

    Note: Essays will be checked for Artificial Intelligence (AI). If more than 40% of essay is AI, the essay will be disqualified.
