      • A) Add a personal tracker (SPOT, inReach, Zoleo) to the live map
      • B) Hire a map-integrated, Trackleaders rental SPOT 'Gen3' tracker
      • C) Activate a SPOT Gen3/Gen4 on a Trackleaders subscription
    • Payment / check-out is through PayPal (account not required).
    • The live tracking map can be found on the homepage at trackleaders.com
    • Once the tracking map is created, participants should show on tracker within a half hour of registration.
    • You can use the 'Edit Submission' link in your confirmation email to make changes to your profile, tracking info, etc.
    • RENTAL NOTES
      • Batteries: Rental SPOT Gen3 trackers do NOT include batteries. One set of Energizer Ultimate lithium batteries should last the duration of the event, but two sets is a safe bet.
      • Tracker Pick-up: Rental trackers are *NOT SHIPPED DIRECT TO ATHLETES* but will be available for pick-up on-site, pre-race.
      • Tracker Return: Participants are responsible for timely return of rental devices upon finish or scratch. SPOT Return Instructions.

        • Activate your own SPOT Gen3/Gen4

           

          Only Gen3/Gen4 devices supported. No need for an active subscription with SPOT. We activate the device for the duration of the event. Your device must be fully offline with subscription canceled -- if it is in *suspend* mode, we cannot activate it. If you are paying for your SPOT air service, select the "privately owned SPOT" option, above. Not this option.

        • Trackleaders PING app.

          Trackleaders PING app sends tracking points when cell coverage is available. No SOS/911 function - dial 911 instead. Battery drain is minimal using the app, but phone must stay out of airplane mode.

          SPOT Gen3 rentals have dedicated 911/SOS function with 100% course coverage.

          App instructions:

          Run the App. Enter your phone# (same phone# you just registered with). Start tracking. You should see yourself pop up on the map within a minute or two. Let us know if you don't (info@trackleaders.com).

          Fire up the app and turn tracking on at the start of the event, then have a great ride!

          Important: phone number entered here must match the phone number you enter in the 'Ping' phone app.

        • Trackleaders SPOT Tracker Rental:

        • VERY IMPORTANT: In the event SOS signal is engaged, SPOT Emergency Response Ctr in Houston, TX, (managed by GEOS Response LLC) will call the above contact number SECOND in the response chain. First response is to summon local emergency services (Sheriff, SAR, State Trooper). If you USE SOS, be prepared to assume all responsibilities (financial / legal) of such a response.

        • Garmin InReach Mapshare Page Help

          Mapshare links look like this: https://share.garmin.com/YOURSHARENAME

          If you do not have a PUBLIC (not password protected) feed of this form, tracking will NOT work. NOTE: therea are two sharing modes, LiveTrack and Mapshare. To share data with 3rd parties, like Trackleaders, only Mapshare will work. Links submitted in LiveTrack mode will not work.

        • Zoleo IMEI Help

          Enter the IMEI number for your device (serial number, found on the device).

          IMPORTANT: You must go to this link to run Zoleo's wizard, authorizing data to be sent to Trackleaders.
