TRAVEL THE TEXT Ministries GENERAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY
FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted by TRAVEL THE TEXT MINISTRIES (also referenced below as "Travel the Text" or "TTT") and staff, including but not limited to Geoff and Jamie Carroll, First Evangelical Free Church of Maplewood, and all staff, volunteers, and group sponsors to participate in the October 9-20, 2025 Travel the Text Biblical Study Trip to Turkey, the undersigned Participant, being of legal age, hereby agrees to the following terms and conditions:
Registration and Enrollment in this program indicates that each person: 1) Fully understands the risk and physical demands of this program and personally accepts sole responsibility; 2) Fully understands and accepts the responsibility to purchase travel insurance; that the study program may be canceled, rescheduled, or accommodations may change due to political, pandemic, terrorist, war, or other factors beyond the control of TTT, Geoff and Jamie Carroll, TTT staff, and holds all group sponsors blameless in the event of personal injury, cancellations, changes in travel program, schedule and/or adjustments in announced fees; 3) Releases Geoff and Jamie Carroll, TTT staff, and all group sponsors from claims of any nature incurred while participating in this program; 4) Agrees that in the event of war, strike, pandemic, emergency or cancellation, or any other trip interruption, any refund will be determined by the TTT refund policy, the airline carriers and local tour agency providers and agent(s) in the USA, Turkey, or TTT; 5) Fully understands that neither Geoff or Jamie Carroll, TTT staff, or any group sponsors are providing any medical services or insurance for the Program and that each Participant will be solely responsible for the expense of any medical treatment that may be needed; 6) Authorizes medical treatment, including hospitalization (at their own expense) if such is deemed necessary by a medical doctor and returned home for medical treatment (also at their own expense) as circumstances warrant; 7) Fully understands that his/her participation in the Program has the approval of any spouse, children, parents and/or guardian and that they agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Release; 8) Fully understands and accepts that this is a group experience, and that your actions and behavior on this trip impact the group experience. You commit to treating fellow group members and those whose lands we are guests in, with respect. Unless you have spoken with the group leader to confirm an alternate arrangement, you understand that you must stay with the group during group activities, respect departure and gathering times, and follow group instructions and cultural guidelines (such as religious dress codes). You will not depart from a group activity without notifying the group leader in advance. You understand that group members will be required to adhere to all local government health guidelines, tourism laws, and any other local government laws that may be in place during your trip dates. You understand that Travel the Text reserves the right to immediately dismiss any individual group members from further participation in the study trip, without refund, if their actions and/or behavior are deemed to be detrimental or dangerous to the group experience. 9) Releases and holds harmless TTT, Geoff and Jamie Carroll and all group sponsors including any affiliate, sponsoring person(s) or institutions involved in this program from any liability for any delays, injury or death incurred during the program and solely assumes all rights and responsibilities for participating in this program.
The Refund Policy for this Travel the Text Biblical Study Trip is as follows: Full refund less non-refundable $150 service fee for cancellations after deposit and registration. Full refund less Deposit payment of $850 (or $750 with early registration discount for this October 2025 Turkey Program) deposit payment for cancellations received 180-120 days prior to trip departure dates. Full refund less $2,000 for cancellations received 119-61 days prior to trip departure date. No refund of any pre-trip payments made for cancellations received 60 days or less prior to originally scheduled trip departure dates.
TRAVEL INSURANCE All participants are individually responsible for securing a quality travel insurance policy to protect your investment in this trip. We urge you to consider a CFAR "Cancel for any Reason" travel insurance policy with trip cancellation coverage to protect your investment, as soon as you make your first trip deposit. These policies cost more, but provide the most flexibility, so review options and determine what is best for your situation. Many CFAR policies must be purchased within 3 weeks of your registration deposit payment, so review options available immediately.
Any airline ticket refunds or changes will be determined by the airline. TTT does not provide flight arrangments, unless included in the land itinerary experience, sucha the domestic flight from Istanbul to Antalya. Please note that TTT cannot control cancellations, changes and cost increases due to pandemics, war, medical conditions, political activity, strikes, severe weather or any other circumstances that may interupt or affect travel as planned. Travel the Text is subject to the refund policies of local providers in the countries we operate and our refund policy reflects these guidelines, and we cannot make exceptions for any circumstance that may arise. Participant is responsible for contacting their provider to confirm coverage or bring contingency funds (cash or credit card) in case an emergency should arise.
