  • Twisted Pine Stables LLC
    Release of Liability Form

READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING IT. YOUR SIGNATURE INDICATES THAT YOU UNDERSTAND IT AND AGREE TO ITS TERMS. BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT YOU OR YOUR CHILD ARE GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING RIGHT TO SUE OR RECOVER DAMAGES IN THE CASE OF INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY DESTRUCTION, LOSS, OR ANY OTHER REASON, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE OF THE STABLE, STABLE OWNERS, OR ANY STABLE STAFF.

All riders must be aware of all risks associated with riding and being around horses. Twisted Pine Stables LLC, stable owners, and any staff members are not to be held liable for any injuries, property damages, or loss sustained while participating in any horseback riding activities and/or while on the property. Horseback riding is an inherently dangerous activity and involves risks that may cause serious injury and in some cases death. Horses can be dangerous, unpredictable, and have irrational behavior regardless of their training and past performance.

    • I attest for myself and any minor children for whom I am parent, legal guardian, or otherwise responsible for, hereby acknowledge all risks of injury, property damage, loss, or death involved in horseback riding, being around, and/or touching a horse as well as being on the property and/or around other animals. I understand that there is a risk in riding and being near live animals and acknowledge that my/our participation is purely voluntary. I assume full responsibility for myself and any minor children for whom I am parent, legal guardian, or otherwise responsible, for any bodily injury, accident, illness, paralysis, death, destruction of property, loss, and resulting expenses acquired as a result.
    • I attest to abide by any and all safety instructions provided by staff on-site as well as in this form.
    • I hereby release Twisted Pine Stables LLC, stable owners, volunteers, working students, and any other staff members from any and all liability of injury, illness, destruction of property, loss or death sustained to myself, guests, or minor children for whom I parent, am legal guardian, or otherwise responsible for while on stable property.
    • I acknowledge that this document is a contract and agree that if a lawsuit is filed against Twisted Pine Stables LLC, the stable owners, or any staff members, the undersigned will pay all attorney fees and costs incurred by the stable in defending such an action.
    • I acknowledge the increased risks associated with horseback riding while pregnant, having a medical history of epileptic seizures, heart conditions, or any other medical conditions.
    • It is recommended and expected that all horseback riders, clients, and guests wear a helmet while participating in horseback riding activities. Protective helmets are available and have been offered for my, my child’s or my guests’ safety.
    • Lesson and riding clients are permitted to bring guests under stable owner discretion. The client agrees that Twisted Pine Stables, the stable owners, and any stable staff are not responsible or liable for their guest(s) while on stable property. The guest(s) must be accompanied by the client while on stable property and must practice all safe practices associated with horseback riding activities.
    • Lesson clients are expected to show up no more than 10 minutes early for their lesson. Twisted Pine Stables LLC, stable owners, and stable staff members assume no responsibility or liability for clients who show up early to their scheduled lesson.
    • This contract covers all times in which the client, family, and/or guests are on Twisted Pine Stables LLC property.

I have read this liability form in full and understand that by signing this document, I am accepting all risks listed above. I agree not to hold Twisted Pine Stables, stable owners, and any employees responsible or liable for any injury or loss sustained while participating in horseback riding activities. I have made a free and deliberate choice to sign this liability waiver as a condition to participate in horseback riding activities at this stable.
