    Request for Use of Common Area
  • Please note the following Mission-aligned programming uses for The Lawn and The Square: 

    Farmers’ Markets, Arts and/or Makers’ Fairs, Outdoor Yoga, Recess (outdoor games), Concert or Outdoor Movies Series, Food Trucks, Tenant-Led Events (company picnics, outdoor team building), Health Fairs and Community Clinics (including blood drives), Technology Demonstrations (a type of outdoor science fair), Elected Official/Candidate Forums (if slate of candidates from multiple parties are includes and it does not imply an endorsement), Outdoor Education, Smart Cities Programs (examples have included showcases focused on autonomous vehicle, solar / renewable energy, sustainable agriculture) Happy Hour/social events

     

    The following event proposals will not be accepted: 

    o   Political Rallies or Political Advocacy (leafletting, etc.), Religious Ceremonies, Weddings, Gun Shows (anything involving weapons)

    o   Any leasing of the Common Facilities or events/uses that could reasonably be expected to create a possessory interest in the Common Facilities in favor of any occupants or invitees

    • If your event is approved, we will issue a Right of Entry to hold the space. Please do not promote your event until this Right of Entry is completed.

    • Rules and Regulations

      1.      Users must sign a Right of Entry and receive a Certificate of Occupancy from Wexford

      2.      User must maintain insurance coverage and proof of a COI

      3.      User hours must be respected: no events before 7am or after 10pm

      4.      Noise level should be kept to a minimum: amplified events cannot exceed 110 decibels on site or 90 decibels at any neighboring building (consistent with tenant demands and animal needs or is this just minimum by ordinance?)

      5.      Any damage to space rented by users must be mitigated at the cost to the user

      6.      Free events should be open and accessible to the public

      7.      Maximum capacity of 250 at any given time (turnover is allowed)

      8.      Respect must be given to our neighbors including building tenants, students, and residents

      9.      All renters are required to pay a security deposit of $350 to hold th space: it will be used to cover the cleaning fee at the end of the event.
