Public Relations Coordinators
This coordinator will focus his or her efforts on campus and community promotions and publicity for special events for DanceBlue. He or she will work closely with the PR Chair in planning and organizing month-out and week-out promotions on campus leading up to the Dance Marathon. The promotions coordinator will also be tasked in planning Fall Blitz week (focusing on team registration) and Spring Blitz week (focusing on the fundraising deadline). The Promotions Coordinator will also be responsible for writing press releases to publish on UKNow and other media outlets and also working with the Public Relations Chair to offer any special programming during Fall and Spring Blitz weeks. This coordinator will be required to have 1 office hours a week with the Public Relations Chair.
Graphic Designer (2)
These coordinators will serve as DanceBlue’s in-house graphic designers and will work with all committees whenever a promotional poster or photoshop piece is needed. The Graphic Designers will work closely with the Merchandise Coordinator in designing all DanceBlue shirts and merchandise. Past graphic design experience preferred. This coordinator will be required to have 1 office hour a week with the Public Relations Chair.
This coordinator takes pictures and video footage at events to be used on social media, to meet public relations needs, as well as material to be used in videos for the marathon. This position entails attending most DanceBlue events, with the Public Relations chair, to photograph. It is preferred that you have your own DSLR camera, with knowledge of photoshop or illustrator. Experience in making videos would be helpful.
Social Media Coordinator
This coordinator will be in charge of the DanceBlue Facebook and Twitter accounts and will use these social media outlets to give daily updates on the happenings of DanceBlue. This coordinator will work closely with all committees to keep the public updated on all aspects of DanceBlue through social media. This coordinator must be focused on proper grammar within each post on each social media platform, and must be prepared to implement the campaign decided on by the PR chair. This coordinator will be required to have 1 office hour a week with the PR Chair.
This coordinator will be in charge of all merchandise for the committee and all items that will be featured in the "DanceBluetique" at the marathon. He or she will work closely with the PR chair, Creative Coordinator, to create the committee shirts, dancer shirts, volunteer shirts, family shirts and all other merchandise. Along with helping to create the items, this coordinator will be in charge of ALL merchandise ordering. This coordinator will also be in charge of merchandise that may be available throughout the year, corresponding to different DanceBlue events (i.e. 5K shirts). This coordinator will be required to have 1 office hour a week with the PR Chair.
