    CHARITY PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT! Registration ends at midnight on 9/19/24
    • Date: Saturday 9/21/24 
    • Time: 7am-5pm (Practice courts open at 7am)
    • Check-in at 7:30am, opening ceremonies featuring a military Color Guard presentation followed by the National Anthem sung by Georgetown High School Student, Grace Anger. Invocation by GCA Principal, Ashley Wonderly.
    • Bracket start time 8:30am (all brackets, all players!)
    • Location: Sun City Georgetown, TX; North Point Courts (700 CR 245) 
    • 16 Courts with permanent nets.
    • Ball: Selkirk PRO S1

  • *EVENT DETAILS:

    PUBLIC PICKLERS -

    1.     Event Details: 

    • Teams of 4 players (register individually and delegate a team captain & team name - TD will group players into their respective teams).
    • If you are NOT a part of an organized team, don't worry! We can help group you with other individuals to form a team. Once formed, we will contact the team players who will then need to provide the Tournament Director with your designated team captain's name and team name.
    • In all fairness, we prefer teams consist of 2 male and 2 female players. (We will permit a lower level male to substitute for a female.)
    • 2 COED All-Age Skill Divisions of 12 teams: 12 Novice/ Low Intermediate, and 12 High Intermediate/ Advanced.
    • Division will be randomly divided in 2 Pools of 6 teams. 
    • ROUND ROBIN FORMAT: Each 4-PLAYER TEAM will play 4 games against all other teams in their pool, 1-11 win by 1 point. Four Lines: 2 gender doubles and 2 mixed doubles or any player combinations.
      • The top two teams from each pool in both skill-level divisions will advance to compete in PLAYOFFS & MEDALS! Playoff Format: 1 game to 15 win by 2. Coin toss to determine serve, receive or end. Rotate 4 players on, 4 players off every four points, rally scoring, refereed game.
    • 12 Teams of 4 players per division divided into 2 Pools/ 96 Players Total.
    • Registration cost: $70 per player

    JUNIORS & FAMILY FUSION - 

    We encourage Juniors to play in BOTH divisions, JUNIORS and FAMILY FUSION, as these events will run consecutively.

    1.     JUNIORS: 

    • Junior teams of 2 players.
    • You do not need a partner to register. We will provide assistance. 
    • COED (any gender combination).
    • Combined Age divisions: 5-15 years old.
    • 16 Teams max, 32 players total.
    • Format: Bracket will be randomly divided in 2 Pools of 8 teams. Round Robin (play all teams in pool), 1 game to 11 points win by 2. The top two teams from each pool will advance to compete in PLAYOFFS & MEDALS. If there is only one pool, the top four teams will compete in PLAYOFFS & MEDALS. 
    • Court monitors and referees will assist with questions regarding rules and scorekeeping. Our goal is to provide referees for all junior games.
    • Registration cost: $65

    2.     FAMILY FUSION:

    • Mixed AGE teams of 2 players
    • COED (any gender combination)
    • Parent or Grandparent partners with a junior under 15 years old. NOTE: The adult does not need to be related to junior, but it is preferred.
    • Format: Round Robin 1 game to 15 points win by 2.
    • 8 Teams, 16 players total per division, 32 players total
    • Playoffs, MEDALS!
    • Registration cost: $65

    HEROES - 

    1.      Event Details:

    • Registration is limited to 4 HERO teams of 8 players divided into two skill divisions: 1. POLICE 2. FIRE/ PARAMEDIC 3. ACTIVE MILITARY & 4. VETERANS.
    • Please designate one captain per HERO team. Each team's CAPTAIN needs to provide the Tournament Director with their teammate's names, HERO division & skill-level so we can group you together.
    • There are two skill-level divisions; BEG/ INT & INT/ ADV.
    • In all fairness, we prefer teams consist of 2 male and 2 female players. We will permit a lower level male to substitute for a female.
    • ROUND ROBIN FORMAT: Each 4-PLAYER TEAM will play 4 games, 1-11 Win by 2 points (2 gender doubles and 2 mixed doubles) against the other 3 HERO teams in their skill-division group.
    • Playoffs & Medals (and BRAGGING rights) following round robin completion.
    • Registration cost: $65

    PRO/AM - 

    1.     PRO-AM Special Event:

    • “PAY 2 PLAY” with a PRO (or Highly Rated Emerging PRO) of your choice!
    • Play against another team of the same combination.
    • Format: One 1-15 game win by 2 points.
    • BIG PRIZES, TONS of FUN and a rare opportunity to play in a unique event supporting the two charities!
    • Registration cost: $100

    Release and Waiver Agreement:

    By participating in this event, I agree to the following:

    1. Release of Liability: I release the event organizers, including United We Pickle Tournament, Pickleballden.com, and their staff, from any liability for injuries, illnesses, or damages related to the event, even if caused by their negligence.
    2. Indemnification: I will not hold the event organizers responsible for any costs or damages arising from the event, including those caused by their negligence.
    3. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in the event involves risks, including exposure to diseases like COVID-19, and I take full responsibility for any resulting harm.
    4. Media Rights: I give the event organizers the right to use photos, videos, and other media of me from the event for any purpose, without any compensation.
    I have read and understand this agreement and willingly accept its terms.

    Parent or Guardian Consent (if under 18):
    I am the parent or guardian of the minor participant. I have read and understood this release and consent to the minor's participation.
