    Parade Date:  Friday, July 4, 2025

    Start Time:  10:00 am

    Location:  Monterey, California - Downtown

    Parade Route:  One mile – Start at Polk Street and Hartnell Street, continue west on Alvarado Street to Del Monte Avenue to Calle Principal, and end at Jefferson Street.

    Anticipated Attendance:  15,000

    Parade entries: Required to be entertaining, creative, and exciting. We welcome bands, floats, drill teams, dance teams, equestrians, comical groups, etc. Think out of the box!  We will help you with ideas. Remember, spectators want to be entertained and they will remember a unique, fun, entertaining entry. We can help you with ideas. 

    Respond early to be considered for placement in our parade.

  • As an authorized representative of this organization/business and its participating members, I/we hereby understand and agree to accept the risk of bodily injury and/or property damage which I/we may incur or cause a third party to incur as a result of my/our participation in the Monterey 4th of July Parade.  With this understanding, I/we further agree to indemnify, defend and save harmless the City of Monterey, Upbeat Parade Productions, LLC and Old Monterey Business Association and its Boards, its Commissions, its Contractors, and their respective officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, losses, injuries, suits, and judgments arising from, or in connection with/my successors, assigns, heirs, executors and administrators, and any other persons or entity's who/which may have a claim based on my/our personal injuries and/or property damage.  I/we understand that segments of the media will be present at the parade and I/we grant an unconditional release for all rights of publications, press, radio, and television present and future, along with all video and photographic rights by virtue of their appearance.  I/we further understand and agree that this save harmless and indemnification shall apply to and all facilities that the City of Monterey, may own and/or control. Furthermore, I/we have read and agree to abide by the Monterey 4th of July Parade guidelines and rules, as shown in the pages provided and those to be presented with the participant's information package if my unit is accepted.
