    Move Out Checklist

  • The Move Out Checklist must be fully completed on the day you move out in order to get your Good Member deposit back. Unpaid fees or leaving items incomplete in the Move Out Checklist may result in deductions from the deposit. Taking UP(st)ART property with you or leaving your space dirty upon move out will also result in a deduction from your deposit.

    Members are responsible for removing personal belongings from UP(st)ART property when they move out. If a member does not remove their belongings, items may be donated or disposed of.  UP(st)ART is not responsible for any damage or costs associated with loss, storage, or shipping of a resident’s personal property.

     

  • Move outs are by 11am on the last day of the month. Staying past 11am on the last day of the month will result in an $80 deduction from your deposit, or an $80 charge. To spend the night on the last day of the month, email membership@upstart.rocks by the 25th.

  • Bedroom

  • For all members

    • Remove all your personal belongings, including bedding. Either take bedding with you, or  contact your house manager to ask where to leave it for donation. ($25 charge if incomplete)
    • Leave UP(st)ART clothing hangers and plastic bins.  ($25 charge if items taken)

    For members in pods

    • Clean under mattress ($25)
    • Thoroughly clean interior of pod. ($25)
    • Clean clothing storage area ($25)
    • Clean storage between pods. ($25)
    • Clean mirrors inside pod. ($25)

    For members in bunks

    • Thoroughly sweep under the bunk ($25)
    • Wipe metal side rails of bunks. ($25)
    • Clean/wipe out wardrobe. ($25)
    • Wipe out underbed storage. ($25)
    • Clean mirror on wardrobe. ($25)

    • Wipe out refrigerator space. ($25)
    • Wipe out freezer space (if assigned) ($25)
    • Wipe out cabinet (if assigned) ($25)

  • Clean all storage spaces:

    • Empty and clean all lockers. ($25 deduction/fee if incomplete)
    • Empty and clean luggage storage. ($25 deduction/fee if incomplete)
    • Gather all items from lost and found, amenities, studios.

    No employee is authorized to allow non members/former members to store any items on property.

  • When moving out, all members are required to submit a change of address form with USPS. 

    Upload screenshot confirmation of either:

    • USPS Change of Address:  https://moversguide.usps.com/mgo/disclaimer
    • Proof you are leaving the US (for international members)

    Failure to submit a change of address form as part of the Move Out Checklist will result in a $50 fee/deduction from the deposit. 

    Mail received after move out date is returned to sender.
