We believe in empowering our volunteers with knowledge and authority. This year, there is no mandatory in-person training. Instead, every volunteer is required to complete a short online orientation, which provides important info regarding service roles, safety measures, and volunteer perks.
We've also updated this application with links to Resource Guides for each volunteer role. These guides contain all the information you should need regarding your role and what policies or procedures are connected to them. Please default to these guides when a question arises and refer to them for best practices.
Some roles require additional training or certifications. If your role is one of these, we will provide the training to you or direct you to where you can do it on your own time. These include Sips & Tips and Accessibility trainings. You may also consider supplemental certifications like CPR and QPR.
On Site Orietation: When you arrive for your first shirt, you will recieve a waterbottle, volunteer T-shirt, credential (if volunteering during event hours), and a brief on-site training for any last-mintue updates regarding your assignment.
Thank you, again, for coming to volunteer at Pride! More information will be provided to you after your form is submitted and processed. We will send you a confirmation email with your volunteer roles and schedules. If you need more help immediately, please contact Esera via email at esera@utahpride.org or by phone at 253-576-1200.
