F-1 Reduced Enrollment
Federal regulations strictly limit reduced enrollment for F-1 students. Use this form if you are an F-1 student and cannot register full-time for the term. Your request will be reviewed by the International Student Advisor, in consultation with your department chair. Documentation may be required.

If you are a doctoral student and have formally advanced to candidacy, this form is not needed.

Full time enrollment minimums:
- Undergraduate 12 units Fall & Spring 6 units Summer (first term only)
- Graduate 9 units Fall & Spring 6 units Summer (first term only)
- IEP 20 hours (5 courses) Fall, Spring, & Summer Semester
