During this workshop, you will explore the technique of nuno felt, a wet felting process combining fabric and wool roving. The felting is accomplished by applying water, soap, and friction to interlock the wool into the base fabric. With guidance from fiber artist Jodie Gerard, you will create a lightweight scarf made with 100% silk chiffon fabric and merino wool roving. You will choose from a wide variety of richly dyed wool roving and embelishment pieces such as sari silk and silk noils. All materials and tools will be provided. The approximate finished size of the scarf will be 12 x 54". 

Classes will be held at the Vicksburg Arts Studio, 101 S Main Street, Vicksburg, MI 49097.
