  • If you don't have a ruler or measuring tape here are some tips for getting a measurement for the size:

    -A credit card/debit card is 8.5cm x 5.4cm

-Most smartphones are approx. 15cm long.  If you Google the name of your phone along with the word "dimensions" (eg. "iphone 11 dimensions"), it will give you the exact size which you can then use to estimate the size of your tattoo.

    -An A4 sheet of paper is 29.7cm x 21cm

Using all of these, you should be able to approximate the size of your tattoo placement

  • Is it a coverup?*
  • Do you require sliding scale pricing?
  • Sliding Scale pricing policy:

All tattoos have a minimum charge of £100 to cover the costs associated with running the studio for the day. Some of the options available are:

    • FLEXIBLE PRICING: starting with a minimum charge of £100, flex pricing would be discounted up to 50% as necessary.
For example: a £100 tattoo would still be £100 but a £150 tattoo would also be £100. A £300 half day tattoo would be £150 and a £500 full day session would be £250.

    • PAYMENT IN INSTALMENTS: regardless of anything, tattoos must be fully paid for on the day. This isn’t some kind of credit process. Instalment payments would involve for example: a £250 tattoo, booked 3 months ahead, would have a £100 deposit, two instalments of £50 at monthly intervals, and finally £50 paid on the day.

    • RESTRUCTURING MULTI DAY PROJECTS: the initial appointment for a large scale piece is quite intensive. We need to stencil/draw on the design along with blood lining/linework. This isn’t something that can really be spread out. However once the bloodlines/linework are in, we can do semi regular short sessions that would be more affordable and less physically taxing.

You do not need to justify why you need Sliding Scale pricing. I am not the solidarity-amongst-marginalised-groups police. I'm not any kind of police. If you tick the box above that saying you'd like access to the Sliding Scale pricing, I will take that at face value and we will discuss your budget via email.

As much as I believe in getting paid what I'm worth (and I know that my rates are already below that), capitalism requires that I earn the right to live. With that in mind, I'd rather work for less than not work at all because no one can afford to get tattooed.

  • References

Please provide at least one reference for what you'd like. Ideally these should either be photos of the component pieces (eg. an animal, a plant, a skull,...) or screenshots of the artist's flash or previous tattoos. Please try to avoid sending other artist's work as, as individuals with our own styles, we will not be replicating or seeking to replicate anyone else's work.

  • Deposits & Bookings

    • All deposits come with a £5 admin fee to cover the charges taken by the various business systems we have to use in order to keep our studio running above board.
    • Tattoos are charged on a case by case basis instead of hourly. That being said, the following rates apply across the board:

    Minimum charge: £100

This covers the running of the studio, the materials, transport costs, admin, drawing time,... as well as my actual needle-to-skin labour time.

    Full day rate: £500

This covers a session that runs from your arrival at noon to needles down at 6pm. During that time, small breaks will be taken to eat, drink, stretch, smoke/vape (if you require) to ensure both your and my well-being.

    Extended day rate: £700

This covers much the same as the regular day rate but the needles down time is extended up to 9pm. This is best if you are travelling in from out of town and will be staying the night locally before travelling back.

Collab piece full day rate: £700

This is a discounted rate (down from £1000) that pays both myself and my wife for a full day's work.

    • Just so you know, all deposits are non refundable. If something comes up and you are able to give your artist at least 48 hours notice, then we can rebook for another time without losing the deposit.
Deposits are 50% of the cost of the tattoo or £100 (whichever is lower) and count towards the final cost of the tattoo. The £5 admin fee is charged on top of this and is separate from the deposit.
  • Payment

On the day, you can pay either via bank transfer (preferred) or cash. We do not have a card machine at the studio.

  • Directions

As LGBTQIAA+ women, we have had to choose to prioritise our own safety and, as such, the exact address of our studio will only be given as part of a booking confirmation once a deposit is received. For reference, our studio is in east London, located in the area between West Ham and Canning Town and is a short walk from both the Jubilee Line and DLR.

  • On the day

Please do not show up earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. We don’t have a waiting area and it’s just the two of us working here, so we might still be setting up or having a break right before your appointment.

  • Accessibility

Unfortunately, our studio is not wheelchair accessible. Our space is on the first floor in a warehouse conversion with only staircase access to the upper floor. If you require wheelchair access and would still like to book in with either of us, let us know and we will seek arrangements to be able to fulfil your appointment at a studio that is wheelchair accessible.

  • Tag-alongs

Please come alone to your appointment. If you require a friend to come with you to support you, please specify and we will make the necessary arrangements. That being said, our studio is very small and if both artists' clients bring a friend then suddenly the space can be considered rather cramped.

  • Do & Do Not

    • DO have a filling, carb-heavy breakfast on the morning of your tattoo.
    • DO bring snacks and sugary drinks.
    • DO NOT drink alcohol the night before or the morning of your tattoo.
    • DO make sure you wear or bring clothing that will be comfortable for you and allow access to the tattooing area.
  • Touch ups, Expectations & Responsibilities

These are some things to take into account when getting a tattoo.  It's important to manage expectations, especially if you haven't had many tattoos.  Social media and traditional media can present a very attractive and marketable vision of what tattooing and tattoos are like without necessarily being accurate.  With all that being said, here are some things to bear in mind.

    • No tattoo is 100% perfect. Our goal is to give you an aesthetically cool tattoo that will stand the test of time, be legible from a normal social distance, and compliment your body.
    • This artform is a human medium, done on an inconsistent biological canvas, and the healing can be affected by environmental factors. With that in mind, touch ups done between 6 weeks and 6 months after the tattoo are free and encouraged.
    • If you have any questions or concerns following your tattoo session, please reach out to us.  We'd rather be able to help you than have you go to A&E or your GP for something that is nothing to worry about.
    • As artists, we are 90% of the time completely anxious wrecks.  As much as we try to put across an air of stability and professionalism, we are people, we have our struggles.  Please bear all of this in mind when contacting your artist.
    • Neither of us usually use stencils, and when we do, they are often simply basic structural outlines and bare little ressemblance to the final piece.  As such, no drawings will be sent beforehand unless it is a low-res sketch to confirm the direction of the concept.
  • Should be Empty:
