We understand and know that giving up a Vizsla to be rehomed is a very difficult and painful decision, and one that's not taken lightly.
Before completing this form, please have ready electronic copies of the following:
Up to 5 current photos of the dog
Registration paper(s) showing legal ownership
a bill of sale or something that shows you own the dog
Death certificate(s) or obituaries in the case of a deceased owner
In order for the Vizsla Society of Ontario to find a new home for your dog, we need first to establish the legal authority to do so, i.e., you are the legal owner or you are an executor.
The more information that can be provided about the dog's vitals, health and behaviour, the better able we can match the dog's needs with a new owner.
A club official will be in touch after we receive your request. Ideally we will send an experienced and knowledgeable person as soon as possible to visit your home and dog to clarify questions, obtain further information, and to discuss concerns. They will also explain what happens next the process of finding a new home for your Vizsla.
There is no fee for this service but the VSO encourages a $50 donation to the VSO's Rescue Fund to help pay for expenses associated with rehoming and rescue.
If you have any questions about our Rehoming / Rescue program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or use our contact form on our website. Thank you.
