As a director of the Vizsla Society of Ontario Inc., I support and will act in accordance with the following core values and code of conduct:

General Conduct
- Be knowledgeable about the Vizsla breed standard and history.
- Support and comply with the club’s objectives, bylaws, regulations, and code of ethics, and all applicable legislation.
- Perform one’s role or function to the best of one’s ability.
- Dedicate sufficient time to perform one’s duties, which includes preparation for and attendance at a majority of board meetings and at least one VSO event during the year; if a member is unable to commit to their responsibilities, then they should consider withdrawing from the board.
- Protect personal data of club members and individuals doing business with the VSO and adhere to all applicable written policies and privacy legislation governing the VSO.
- Treat all information and documentation in connection with my services as a VSO Board member with strict confidence until it has been approved for publication or release to the membership.
- Treat others with respect, fairness, and with consideration of their opinions.
- Engage in active discussion and debate on VSO issues and offer constructive feedback and suggestions on how improvements can be achieved.
- Participate in collective decision-making and accept and support decisions made by the majority of the board members that are ethical and legal, regardless of personal interests.
- Show restraint and rationale when communicating electronically (or otherwise) with board members and the general membership.
