If you are planning for your child to miss school due to a preplanned absence, you are to submit a Preplanned Absence Request at least one week prior to the planned absence.

This form is NOT for absences that have already
occured or dates that have already passed.

During this time, the school office will verify the student’s absentee report to determine if the absences can be excused. If the absence is not approved, it will be considered an unexcused absence. Absences that are pre-planned require the student to bring all previously assigned work back on the day of his or her return. If the student has advanced knowledge of a test or project due on the day he or she returns, the project is due the date he or she returns to school. Tests are to be taken on the day he or she returns, unless more time is given by the teacher.
