Meal Plan Adjustment Guidelines
Often questions are asked regarding the University’s policy concerning meal plans for residential students. As explained in our Student Handbook, “students living on campus are required to be on the meal plan”, choosing between our 14 or 19 meal-per-week options. All incoming Freshman must be on the 19 meal plan for the entirety of their first year. All Holland residents must at least be on the 7 meal plan.
Dietary/ Health Concerns: If after consultation with the Dining Services Director there are still dietary or health concerns, a note from the Dining Services director and a physician/ registered dietician detailing the health need must be submitted along with the application.
Internship/ Practicum: If schedule restrictions related to a Warner University degree-related internship create a reason for consideration, details about the location and dates of the internship, signed by a WU internship supervisor must be submitted along with the application. Any internship sites 25 miles or fewer from Warner University will not be approved for reason to be charged for less than the 7-meal per week meal plan.
Completion and submission of the application should not be viewed as gaining approval from the Office of Student Life. Each application will be reviewed by appropriate parties and response (either approval or denial) will be communicated to the applicant through the Residence Life email.
Note: Upon approval, please plan for 7-10 business days for processing. New plans and updated billing become active the Monday following approval. The deadline to submit the form is 2 weeks from the first day of classes, after that period submissions will be applied to the following semester.
