The Applicant must meet the following eligibilty criteria to apply for a WDCAC 2019 Scholarship:
Have been a previous Washington, DC Alumnae Chapter (WDCAC), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated scholarship recipient awarded by the WDCAC Scholarship Committee.
Must currently be enrolled at an accredited four-year university or college as a full-time undergraduate student OR must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited community college.
Must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
Is not an immediate relative, i.e., child, of a member of the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
The following documents MUST be submitted directly to the WDCAC Scholarship Committee no later than March 1, 2019.
College/University Official Transcript. The official transcript must be sent from the college/university directly to WDCAC Scholarship Committee. It can be sent via email from the college/university directly to WDCAC Scholarship Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org as a secured electronic PDF. If the college/university cannot send the official transcript via email, it should send the transcript via U.S. Postal mail to: Scholarship Committee, WDCAC – DST, P.O. Box 90202, Washington, DC 20090-0202. Please do not send official transcripts via a next-day courier service such as Federal Express, UPS, DHL, etc. They do NOT deliver to post office boxes.

II. RECOMMENDATION LETTERS
All Recommendation Letters listed below must be sent via email from the person providing the recommendation directly to the WDCAC Scholarship Committee at email@example.com as a PDF file. The email must also include in the subject heading the unique Submission ID Number assigned to Applicant after submission of the online application. Applicant is responsible for providing the persons writing the Recommendation Letters with the Submission ID Number and these instructions, to assist them in timely submission of the applicant’s required Recommendation Letters.
Required Recommendation Letters submitted without the Submission ID Number will not be considered, and the application package will be deemed incomplete.
A. School Recommendation Letter. One signed letter of recommendation from applicant's current college/university (i.e., advisor or major academic teacher). The recommendation letter should:

B. Community Service Recommendation Letter. One signed letter of recommendation from an official or authorized representative of an organization verifying applicant’s current community service involvement. The recommendation letter should:
Applicants are notified in late April/early May regarding selection. If awarded a scholarship, applicant is expected to attend the Community Forum & Scholarship Program on May 19, 2019.

I give the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. permission to verify any information contained in my application package, as necessary. I understand that misrepresentation of any information or the submission of inaccurate or incomplete information will result in disqualification to be considered for a scholarship or forfeiture of any award that I may receive.
I understand that if I am awarded a scholarship, the funds will be made payable to the college/university I attend and me. I also understand that the funds will be sent directly to the college/university once the proper verification forms have been completed and returned to the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
I hereby grant the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. the unrestricted right and permission to use and re-use my name and likeness in any and all publications, including photograph, television broadcast, video recording, internet sites, audio-recording or any other form of electronic or print communication (the Promotional Materials), for its own purposes without payment or any other consideration to me, in perpetuity. I understand and agree that any material produced using my likeness is the property of the Washington DC Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
