  • The Washington DC Chapter Alumnae Chapter (WDCAC), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has provided over $1.5 million in scholarships to Washington DC high school and college students. Our scholarship program is designed to assist DC school students achieve academic success by providing scholarships to help offset the cost of college tuition and other related expenses.

    The Washington DC Chapter Alumnae Chapter scholarships are designated for graduating high school student and college students who are previous WDCAC scholarship recipents.

  • Scholarship Types and Eligibility

    • New Student Scholarship 
    • The applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for the WDCAC New Student Scholarship:   

      • Must be a Washington, DC resident 
      • Must attend a Washington, DC public, private, or charter high school [1]
      • Must be a graduating high school senior in 2026
      • Must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the fall 2026 semester
      • Cannot be an immediate relative (e.g., child) of a Washington DC Alumnae Chapter member.


      [1] For purposes of this Application, the term “private school” includes homeschooling located in the District of Columbia that operates, in accordance with, Washington DC Home Schooling Program administered by the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education.

    • Continuing Student Scholarship 
    • The applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for the WDCAC Continuing Student Scholarship:   

      • Must be a recipient of a WDCAC financial scholarship in consecutive previous years
      • Must be a permanent resident of Washington, DC while enrolled in school
      • Must be currently enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university
      • Must have a 2.75 or above cumulative grade point average
      • Must plan to continue full-time enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the fall 2026 semester
      • Cannot be an immediate relative (e.g., child) of a Washington DC Alumnae Chapter member.
