  • To be Financially Cleared, you must pay your Current Charges (${currentCharges23}) plus any previously due balances (${previousBalance24}) minus any expected financial aid (${expectedFinancial22}). Our records indicate that this Total Amount Due comes out to (${totalAmount}).

    Medical Clearance protects your health and the health of the campus community. The University's requirements are based on the current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American College Health Association. Hampton University policy states that students must be medically cleared to move into the residence halls and to attend classes.

    Please complete the following steps:

    1. Check your University email account (firstname.lastname@my.hamptonu.edu) for an email with instructions from Med Proctor. For questions regarding HU email activation, please contact the Office of the Registrar 757-727- 5323 or registrar@hamptonu.edu.

    2. Go to the Health Center website to access the Medical Clearance instructional video.

    3. Go to the Med Proctor website to complete the medical clearance process. If you have questions, please use the live chat feature or email help@medproctor.com

    4. The Health Center makes the final decision regarding all medical clearances.

  • HU Policy on COVID-19 Vaccinations


    Students are required to be Up to Date with the COVID-19 primary vaccine series, meaning they have received all CDC recommended COVID 19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.

    If you are a first-time student loan borrower:

    Undergraduate students are required to electronically sign their Master Promissory Note and complete the Federal Loan Entrance Counseling at Student Aid.Gov

    Graduate Students who apply for the Graduate PLUS Loan” must first complete a credit check, if credit is approved, must sign electronically the Master Promissory Note, complete the Federal Loan Entrance Counseling requirement at Student Aid.Gov.

    If credit is not approved, students have the option to consider a credit worthy endorser.

    Parents who apply for the Parent PLUS Loan for dependent, undergraduate students, must first complete a credit check. If credit is approved, will need to complete the Master Promissory Note requirement at StudentAid.Gov.

    In some cases, the Department of Education may require a parent to complete the Credit Counseling requirements, as a condition for loan approval.

    Parents who are denied credit, have the option to seek an endorser, or attempt to resolve with the credit issue with the Department of Education.

    If the above actions are unsuccessful, the dependent undergraduate student have the option to request the additional unsubsidized loan:
    Freshman/Sophomore - Additional $4,000
    Junior/Seniors - Additional $5,000

  • Initial Follett Bookstore Request Funds

    The Follett Bookstore is where students can purchase textbooks and other items to assist in their studies. However, in order to use these funds you must submit a Follett Funds Request form. Please note that a maximum of $1,200.00 (if available) can be requested using One Stop Registration.
