The Wheaton College Alumni Association once again invites permanent faculty members to apply for an eleven month faculty development grant. The final decision on all applications will be made by the Alumni Association Board of Directors with input from the Deans and the Provost. Monies granted for this eleven-month grant will be available in the next academic year (e.g., after July 1st).
The faculty of Wheaton College have been the beneficiaries of the extraordinary generosity of the Wheaton College Alumni Association for many years, and we owe them a debt of gratitude. In the last two decades, close to one million dollars have been granted to over 100 individual faculty and several departments and programs in support of their work.
ALUMNI FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRANT FUNDING PRIORITIES:
- First priority: Faculty working on advanced degrees.
- Second priority: Faculty who have been approved for sabbaticals and are requesting additional funds for travel, housing expenses, or small equipment needs.
- Third priority: Departmental block grants.
- Fourth priority: Faculty, as individuals or in groups, who are working on special projects in their fields of expertise. These projects do not necessarily need to be conducted on sabbatical leave.
- Special consideration will be given to faculty who are working on projects that deal with crucial issues of the day. The project must assist the evangelical community to deal with these issues in innovative and enlightening ways.
