    Event Details:

    • All contestants must provide at least 1 gallon of soup.
    • NO packaged mixes or canned soup; all soups must be made from “home style” ingredients.
    • All soups must be pre-cooked prior to the event. Soup should be brought “ready-to-eat”.
    • Contestants are responsible for supplying all of their own products related to their soup. Please bring in crockpots/nesco roasters, ready for serving. Tables, table covers, chairs, extension cords, serving ladles, sampling bowls, plastic spoons, and napkins will be provided. 
    • Setup starts at 11:00am; soups need to be ready by 11:45am as sampling will begin at 12:00pm. All contestants must have at least one person on hand throughout the event to serve and supervise their area until voting ends. However, we will have volunteers available for chefs to take a break (if needed) throughout the afternoon.  Each contestant is responsible for the clean up and removal of their items. Cleaning may begin at 5:30pm (or when your entry is gone). 
    • Judging will be done by “people’s choice”.  Voting ballets will be sold to attendees at a cost of $20/ticket. Ballots will be submitted in a container provided at the voting table.
    • All ballots must be in by 5:45pm, winners will be announced by 6:00pm. Prizes will be awarded in both the soup and chili categories.
    • All entry forms must be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, February 4th.
