Woorayl Lodge's one bedroom Independent Living Units are for people 65 and over and are $995 per month without a carport or $1,100 per month with a carport. One month's rent is payable in advance and a bond applies.
All tenants are required to pay a contribution to the cost of water, which is currently around $50.00 per quarter. Woorayl Lodge reserves the right to seek additional payments where a tenant has used a clearly excessive amount of water. Tenants pay their own accounts for:
- Electricity (all appliances are electric)
- Phone
- Contents insurance (Woorayl Lodge covers building insurances and rates etc)
Woorayl Lodge has a clearly documented set of rules relating to occupancy and these are provided as part of the rental agreement.
A simple subset of these rules are:
- Each unit is to be kept clean and in a liveable condition – and this is the responsibility of the tenant. (Woorayl Lodge is responsible for normal maintenance – harsh treatment and mischievous damage will be repaired at the cost of the tenant)
- Tenants are not to alter the buildings without written consent from Woorayl Lodge.
- Cats and dogs are not permitted.
- Tenants are to show due consideration to all other tenants at all times.
- No sub-letting is permitted.
- Not all units have their own carport – however car parking spaces are available.
Tenants are required to give 30-days notice, in writing to Woorayl Lodge Inc, should they decide or need to vacate.
