    South Carolina Code of Regulations, Chapter 71, Article 3 allows minors to perform normally "hazardous" jobs only if they are officially enrolled in an approved apprenticeship or school-based training program (Career & Technical Education Center program). It creates a legal exception for students to gain hands-on experience, provided the employer follows strict safety protocols and ensures direct supervision.
