Landing Page Checklist Logo
  • Landing Page Checklist

This checklist will help you define & develop the "end point" of a breadcrumb strategy. A landing page can be a page on your website or a page built as part of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
    • Target Market
    • Pictures are worth a 1000 words, so images or graphics reflecting people benefiting from what you offering will help with the emotional connection. Be sure your logo is present and the branding consistent.

    • Results
    • Email addresses
    • Getting someone's email is critical no matter what the result you want or get. Offer them a freebie (how-to, tips, info sheet), a discount or a bonus if they provide their email address.

      • Auto responders will provide the freebie
      • Also, notify them that they will be receiving future updates, offers & tips from you and that they can unsubscribe at any time.
      • CRM interface wll provide tag the prospect for followup
    • Sales
    • At a minimum:

      • Provide testimonials
      • You might also include FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) such as delivery, return policies, etc.
      • Make the call to action easy

The more expensive the product or service, the more likely you will need to provide more information:

      • A video (1-3 minutes) to explain the product or service, introduce yourself, etc.
      • Statistics, stories or details can be shared in a feed or as part of the request for their email.
      • Success stories or cautionary tales are also good.
    • Appointments / Phone Calls
    • If you want a phone call, consider a scheduler (feature of some CRM's) or an 3rd party widget. It looks more professional, impacts value on YOUR time and makes it easy for the prospect.

I recommend, NOT offering this for products or services below a price point you determine. Do you want to spend X number of hours to possibly sell products under a given price point? Use a video and/or FAQ's to address.

Also you can have a form or chat-bot address a question using the price-point question to help you determine how much time & energy to invest.

    • Referrals
    • You might ask them if they know someone else who might be interested. Creating a simple referral form will make it easy for them. You can offer them a bonus if someone they refer buys your product or service.

    • Submit
    • Should be Empty:
