CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

15 Risk Management/Safety Sessions

• There will be a total of 15 different Risk Management/Safety Sessions presented over the 3 days. 
• Six of the sessions will be "Full Conference Sessions" presented before all 70-90 attendees in one large meeting room. 
• Nine of the sessions will be "Breakout Sessions" presented to 20-30 attendees at a time in a smaller meeting room.  The smaller groups in the Breakout Sessions will allow for more questions, answers, and discussion with our expert presenters during the session.
• Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) - Wednesday's sessions are presented in close partnership with our Y-USA Child Abuse Prevention partners. Wednesday afternoon is exclusively CAP focused with great strategies for keeping children safe at our YMCA's and in our programs.  

 

Monday’s Keynote Speaker – Kevin Washington, President & CEO of Y-USA

• In addition to the very relevant Risk Management/Safety sessions, please note that we will have a different Keynote Speaker presentation each day as well.  Our Keynote Speaker on Monday is Kevin Washington, President & CEO of Y-USA.  This Keynote presentation will provide attendees an outstanding opportunity to hear Kevin speak in a relatively small group. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask Kevin questions relevant to safety at our YMCA's.

• Attendees will have a significant opportunity to network throughout the Conference during the day and in a social setting at the evening dinners on Monday and Tuesday.

LCDC Certification Credit

• The 2016 Risk Management Conference will count towards Leadership Competency Credits for recertification of the YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader Certification and the Organizational Leader Certification.
