StatsForward Fellowship Application

The overarching objectives of StatsForward are:

• Provide early-career statisticians and data scientists with mentoring and coaching.
• Create a sense of community and responsibility to be stewards of the profession for a cohort of early-career statisticians and data scientists.
• Develop future leaders of the American Statistical Association.
• Offer "just in time" support for a cohort of early-career statisticians and data scientists to encourage their continued commitment to the profession.

Fellows will participate for one year beginning at JSM 2024 and concluding at JSM 2025.

We seek candidates reflecting the diversity of our society. Applications are due by March 15, 2024, and require a candidate statement, biographical sketch, and three letters of reference.

There are three parts to the application: Biographical Information, Candidate Statement and CV, and Letter of Support.

Work Products: List up to five (5) products that provide context for your professional experiences.

Part Two: Candidate's Statement

Clearly establishing your interest in career and leadership development provide a candidate statement that describes your short and long term professional goals. The candidate statement is your opportunity to tell your story and how participating in the program will support your career and professional goals. (Limit 2000 words)

Part Three: Supporting Documentation

To make sure your application is complete, please be sure to provide the following information:

1. Current CV (5 page limit)
2. Three letters of support from individuals who can comment on the qualities that make you a good candidate for this fellowship.
