  • This brief questionnaire, run by the ASA Committee on Data Science and AI, is to learn how ASA members are using generative AI in their work.  We plan to summarize the results in AmStat News.  Your response to these questions is greatly appreciated.  Please note that we may quote (without attribution) selected responses.


    In the following questions, we use the phrase "generative AI tools" to refer to tools such as large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Github Copilot, and Bard, or other automated tools that create text, photos, videos, 3D renderings, and so on.
