We are currently recruiting for our next cohorts, which will begin June 2020 and July 2020. There will be limited number of students accepted into the program.
If you would like to move forward with Panel and Final interviews for possible sponosrship with one of our equipment dealers/partners, please be sure to have the following completed by Friday May 1st:
1. CCA Admissions application online: www.ccaurora.edu – Once you receive your student ID (S#), please email that to Courtney Butler: Courtney.Butler@CCAurora.edu
2. Please complete the interest form so that we can keep you in the loop with that information: https://form.jotform.com/200275103035035
3. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications for 2019-2020 (using 2017 tax returns) and for 2020-2021 (using 2018 tax returns) if enrolling into the June or July 2020 cohorts. Please visit https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa to complete the FAFSA applications.
4. Testing for English and Math accuplacer assessment, unless they’ve taken the ACT or SAT within the last 4 years, they can bring their scores in to see if we can waive the assessments. Testing can be done at either the Lowry or CentreTech campus. They can also schedule their appointment online at: https://www.ccaurora.edu/getting-started/testing
If selected for sponsorship, student may gain real-world experience and a possible paid apprenticeship, during work rotation, with members of the Colorado Equipment Dealer’s Association-CEDA (apprenticeships are not guaranteed). After completion of the program, the sponsoring dealers’ intent is to offer full-time employment, tuition reimbursement and the use of a professional set of tools.
Companies from the Colorado Equipment Dealers Association may sponsor students. Students may earn:
o Paid Internship while in program
o Work Contract after end of program
o Reimbursement for Tuition and Fees from the company within the first 2 years of employment
o Set of tools from the company within the first 3 years of employment
Students not selected for sponsorship may still complete the program and pay the standard Tuition and Fee costs.
Please note that that we do plan on moving forward with Panel and Final Interviews scheduled in May, but this may also change. We will keep everyone posted in the coming weeks:
Panel Interviews (Comprised of 3 components: Group Interview, Hand’s On Test, and Bennett’s Mechanical Aptitude Test)

General Program Information:
This full-time program runs Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm for one year. At this time, there are no weekend or evening programs.
All students in the Diesel Power Mechanics program will receive an Associates of Applied Sciences (AAS) Degree, within one year. Standard CCA tuition and fees apply. All students may qualify for Financial Aid.
Students may qualify for a year-long sponsorship supported by the Colorado Equipment Dealers Association. Sponsorship benefits include: Paid internship, intent to hire, tuition reimbursement and set of tools.
