GUIDELINES: Our troop will adhere to all standards and guidelines (including money earning) as stated in Volunteer Essentials and the Safety Activity Checkpoints.
PERMISSION TO TRAVEL: The trip's responsible adult will collect and retain a Permission to Travel Internationally form from all minor participants (available for download on our Troop Travel web page). They will also collect and retain a Health History and Emergency Medical Authorization form for all participants. These documents must accompany the trip leader during the trip.
PARTICIPANT RATIOS: Our troop will follow GSUSA's required adult-to-girl ratios for travel. Our troop will plan and discuss emergency procedures with all participants.
PASSPORTS: All participants have or will have a valid Passport at the time of travel. It is encouraged that each participant provide a photo copy of their passport to the adult in charge and a copy is left home with the parent/guardian.
TROOP TRIP REQUEST: The trip leader will submit an online Troop Trip & High Risk Activity Request Form as soon as all trip details are complete. The request form will include a detailed itinerary including specific addresses and locations of hotel stays and activities, etc. In addition, the request form will include a full roster of all girls and adults and their phone numbers.
COUNCIL CONTACT: All participating adults will have the Council office phone number 800-736-5243 (M-F, 8:30am - 5:00 pm).
MEDICAL TREATMENT: The trip leaders are aware of the Authorization for Medical Treatment forms for adults and minors. These forms accompany the trip leaders and give permission to treat an individual in the event that family or caregivers are difficult to reach. The authorization must be notarized and is available on our Troop Travel web page.
