The gender-affirming care financial assistance application allows the SGPS to provide financial support for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse SGPS members. Applicants may only apply once per term until they have reached the $500 maximum amount for this subsidy. This is an ongoing review process on a first-come-first-served basis until funds are depleted.

We recognize the sensitive nature of this application. As such, gender-affirming care applications are reviewed by only three individuals and are strictly confidential (in comparison to our other financial assistance applications, which our finance committee reviews). The SGPS Executive Director redacts all information before the review of applications and assists in processing financial payments. The SGPS Vice President Finance and Services and the SGPS Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism and Accessibility (I-EDIAA) Commissioner review redacted applications. They will only reach out with follow-up questions if you have consented below.
