• PRICING INFORMATION

On this page you will find information related to pricing for customs and flash. I understand this can be a hard aspect of the tattoo world to navigate so I want to provide as much transparency as I can for clients looking to understand where their money is going, or those trying to anticipate what to budget

  • Minimum Rate:

    • Minimum rate for flash (pieces I've predrawn and release as claimable designs): $180
    • Minimum rate for customs (pieces the client requests): $200
      • I understand it can be hard to wrap your head around why something quick or relatively small wouldn't just be $50, but minimum rates are in place to cover mulitple things such as: time spent drawing, skill and level of knowledge, high price and large variety of supplies (which includes machines, gloves, needles, inks, cleaning supplies, protective supplies, single use plastic covering, printers, paper, etc.) and lastly, our labour during the session.

    Budgets:

    • I am typically quite flexible with budgets, and try my best to adhere to what people can afford but I cannot say yes to everything. It is absolutely not personal if I cannot work within your budget, rather I've weighed out the costs and decided I wouldn't be able to give the project my all at that price point.
    • I offer reduced PWYC/sliding scale rates for BIPOC/QPOC folks--please specify your budget in specified area on either booking form. Not all budgets will be doable but i am always open to make slight modifications to the piece to work within a budget.
  • Here are examples of previous pricing to aid in your budgeting or price expectation for an upcoming tattoo:

  • Below are pieces costing between $180-220:

Usually these range from simple line work or suggestive shading work to small, simple customs

  • Image-78
  • Below are pieces ranging from $250-350

Usually these are more detailed around 3-4 inches, in an easier placement such as arm or leg

  • Image-79
  • Below are pieces ranging from $350-450

Usually these are detailed pieces with intricate shading, around 4-6 inches

  • Image-81
  • Below are pieces ranging from $500-700

Intricate work with lots of details and shading, large scale (8-12 inches) and/or in a difficult placement (example below being stomach/ribs/chest)

  • Image-82
  • Additional things that impact pricing:

    • Placement: some spots are physically more awkward to reach for us, often requiring awkward angles or lots of breaks
      • an easy placement would be arms or legs
      • a more difficult placement is something such as: ribs, torso, neck, hand, chest, head, face
    • Guest spots:
      • this information is in reference to Montreal prices. Guests spot require MANY additional costs (sometimes costing up to 1K to just stay in the city, transport supplies and pay the studio)
    • Colour ink:
      • colour is made up of particles that are slightly larger than black ink, which makes it slightly more difficult to apply to skin. This means colour tattoos or black and grey tattoos with colour additions will inevitably take longer and be more labour intensive
    • Booking multiple pieces in one session:
      • I automatically apply a bit of a discount when booking more than one piece during a single sitting. This is due to there only being one set up cost. If seperately one piece would be $300 and the other at $250, I would usually suggest a whole price for the session instead of adding both seperate prices.
  • I ask that all booking be done through my forms (or via dm if you happen to be claiming a last minute spot) but if this did not answer your questions, feel free to reach out to my assistant Maddy at softhands2stabu@gmail.com with any further inquiries.

Typical response time is between 1-3 days.
