We’re excited that you’re considering adopting a dog from Paws In Your Hands Rescue! Our goal is to find the perfect match between our dogs and loving, responsible adopters. By completing our detailed adoption application, you’ll help us understand your home environment, lifestyle, and preferences, which will allow us to recommend a dog that suits you best.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Rental Approval: Renters must provide written consent from their landlord or property management.
- Workday Consideration: Homes where dogs will be left alone for 8 or more hours must have proper care plans in place.
- Student Policy: We do not accept applications from individuals currently enrolled in college or living in student housing.
- Pet Health: All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on rabies and core vaccinations.
- Complete Applications: All sections must be filled out completely. Incomplete applications may result in denial.
- Age Requirement: Applicants under 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian.

Heartworm disease is not contagious, meaning that a dog cannot catch the disease from being near an infected dog. Please do not let a minor issue like this change your mind. HW is curable!

This quarantine is required for all dogs entering the state, regardless of age, health, or vetting status.
