    • + Where are you located?
    • located in Anaheim, CA

    • + How do I book an appointment?
    • By using the booking form

    • + Do you work with color inks?
    • Yes but I dont offer color for all pieces. Please feel free to ask me if you're interested in color being added to a custom or predrawn piece before booking.

    • + Which custom tattoo request will you accept?
    •        I urge you to first look through my page, make sure that you truly and genuinely like the art I create. I only like to accept requests for tattoos that fit well in the style I do. As well as concepts I will truly enjoy creating and executing. When considering me as your artist for a custom piece, please take note that I do not deviate from my style of work; Illustrative (shown on IG)

    • + How much is the required booking/drawing/retainer fee amount?
    • All booking/drawing/retainer fees and rescheduling fees are non-refundable and non-transferable (for any reason) and are paid via Venmo only; they will range from $60 to $160.

Why is it called a "booking/drawing/retainer fee"?

Well, because it covers the time spent BOOKING your appointment, handling administration tasks, and communicating via email.

It also covers the time spent DRAWING, creating the design for your appointment. It can also cover (up to) the first hour of your appointment if the design requires me to freehand it on your body on the day of.

As for the RETAINER, it secures/reserves your appointment date and time.

The booking/drawing/retainer fee is applied to the total cost of your tattoo.

i.e., the appointment price minimum is $140; your booking/drawing/retainer fee is $70, and your tattoo total is $140. On the day of your appointment, your remaining balance will be $70.

    • + What is your pricing?
    •       At this time there is a $140 appointment price minimum. I charge a flat rate for most pieces; prices vary based on size, design, detail, and placement. For large-scale/multi-session pieces the rate is $160 per hour.

*Price quotes are subject to change depending on the final size, design, and placement.

    • + What is the best way to contact you?
    •        Via email; bookwithMJ@outlook.com

    • + What if I need to reschedule?
    • Please provide 3 days (72 hours from your appointment start time) notice that you'd like to cancel/reschedule. Failure to provide 3 days notice (72 hours from your appointment start time) will result in a non-refundable + non-transferable rescheduling fee that is half the amount of your original booking/drawing or retainer fee. *please note that the rescheduling fee will not be deducted from your tattoo total. You will be allowed one reschedule per booking/drawing/retainer fee, if it meets the 72 hour notice condition. Additional reschedules will require new booking/drawing/retainer fee(s). In case of a pending reschedule, your booking/drawing/retainer fee will be held for 30 days. If it exceeds that time frame, it will be considered forfeited. Please ensure that you are entirely committed to getting a tattoo before paying your booking/drawing/retainer fee.

You will have a 15-minute grace period on the day of your appointment. Please let me know via email if you will be running late. If you exceed the 15-minute time limit, your appointment will be cancelled, and your booking/drawing/retainer fee will be forfeited. Furthermore, if you are a 'no notice - no show' then your appointment will be cancelled, your booking/drawing or retainer fee will be forfeited, and you will be unable to book with me again.

*there are no reschedules for flash sales and discounted deals/sales unless explicitly stated otherwise

    • + Will you repeat any of your tattoo designs?
    • All tattoo designs are executed only once but if you want a custom tattoo similar to a one-off flash piece, i can work with that. You can view them all on in their designated booking form.

    • + When can I see my custom design?
    •       You will be able to see your tattoo design on the day of your scheduled appointment unless you're getting an hourly custom piece that will require you to be present for mapping, designing and drawing. Trust that you have communicated your tattoo idea to your satisfaction, and have reviewed the my prior artwork in order to decide that I can execute your idea to your liking. I ask that you please understand that creating a tattoo design based on a client’s concept is subjective, and variations may exist between your concept and the finished design. If the finished design is not to your satisfaction, then minor changes can be made with the guidance of my professional recommendation on the day of your appointment. However, please understand that considerable changes to the design or the request of an entirely new design will require a new booking/drawing fee, and the original booking/drawing/retainer fee and the scheduled appointment will be forfeited as payment for the time I took in order to design your original idea.

    • + Can I buy a flash design or commission a custom design from you?
    •       Yes, you can; just email me at bookwithMJ@outlook.com. Make sure to write "buy flash piece/commission design" in the subject line.

If you decide to get the design tattooed by me, then the cost of the design will be deducted from your tattoo total.

If you decide to get the design tattooed by someone else, then the cost will cover the licensing fee. The licensing fee does NOT grant you permission to reproduce the design for other purposes (i.e., merch, prints, publication, digital files, other tattoos, or for you to tattoo it on someone else). The licensing fee is for a single, personal-use tattoo, where a trained professional body modification artist will execute the tattoo design on you. I am not responsible for the quality of their tattoo work.

Regardless of use, it is a non-exclusive license; I retain all rights to the design and can continue to sell the design to other clients, tattoo it, make merch, etc. I will make exceptions if it is a custom commission design, upon discussion.

The cost of purchasing a design/license is non-refundable.

    • + Can I get tattooed if I'm pregnant/nursing?
    •         No, due to several risk factors i will not tattoo anyone that is pregnant or nursing.

    • + Can I get tattooed if I'm currently in an IVF cycle?
    •         I ask that you speak to your doctor first and if your care provider says yes, please be ready to email a copy of the document stating its been allowed.

    • + Can I get tattooed if I'm currently taking hormone therapy replacement?
    •         I ask that you speak to your doctor first and if your care provider says yes, please be ready to email a copy of the document stating its been allowed. You may be told to avoid having your treatment fall on or near the day of your appointment. HTR changes the texture and elasticity of your skin which can result in difficulty tattooing.

    • + Can I get tattooed if I have a skin condition?
    •         I ask that you speak to your doctor/dermatologist first and if your care provider says yes, please be ready to email a copy of the document stating its been allowed. I have experience working with clients that have skin conditions and even with complications we were able to succesfully accomplish the tattoo.

    • + Can I get tattooed while taking antibiotics?
    •         No. it must be 5-7 days after you have completed you antibiotics.

    • + Can I apply numbing cream before appointment?
    •         I don't allow it since It causes the skin to become rubbery and stubborn. Thus making it difficult to work with. If you decide to apply it despite my request not to, I will have to send you home. Which will potentially lead to a last-minute reschedule (with fee) or possibly a complete forfeit of your booking/drawing/retainer fee.

    • + Are guest allowed?
    •         Only one guest is allowed at this time. The station/studio is rather small, space is limited and so they will need to stay in the lobby. No exceptions. If they dont wish to stay in the lobby, they can wait outside for you or come back later.

    • + Do you sell your designs/art?
    •         No, this is my art and I respectfully ask that you refrain from taking my art/designs elsewhere. I understand that some may live in other states/countries and are unable to make it out to California, but it isn’t a valid reason to steal, copy, and plagiarize any artist’s work.

    • + Would you consider a cover up/work on an existing tattoo?
    • I will always recommend that you consider getting it removed before attempting to find anything to solely cover up a tattoo that may leave you dissatisfied, but I welcome any inquiries regarding your coverup. I will not add to another artist's work, but I can work within a concept/theme to create something cohesive.

    • + Will you consider making alterations to a one-off design?
    • There is an option for custom pieces, you can include an image of the one-off design you'd like referenced along with the alterations you'd like to be included.

    • + What form of payment do you accept?
    •         All drawing/booking/retainer fees and rescheduling fees are accepted via venmo only. Your tattoo total will be paid in cash -ONLY- on the day of your appointment.

    • + What should I do before my appointment?
    •         Please get plenty of rest the night before. Make sure to eat before your appointment. Stay hydrated, very important. Please don’t apply any lotion or tanner the morning of your appointment. If you need to shave, dont use any hair removal product/chemical (ex. nair)

    • + What should I bring to my appointment?
    •         I ask that you bring anything that will make your experience comfortable. Feel free to bring snacks, water, earphones, a clean blanket etc. Please remember to bring your I.D. or passport. If you have asthma or severe allergies, please consider bringing your inhaler, epipen, or anything you would need in case of an emergency

    • + What should I wear to my appointment?
    •         Please consider the placement of your tattoo when choosing what you will wear for your appointment. Loose clothing, zip up hoodies etc. The studio is kept at 68 degrees for sanitary purposes, dress accordingly.

    • + Should I arrive early to my appointment?
    • Please dont arrive and/or message me more than 5 minutes before for your appointment. I will not be available before then. Once you arrive, please notify me via email, and I will begin preparing your setup before bringing you inside.

    • + Should I bring a tip?
    •          Tips are never necessary but are always appreciated. I kindly ask that you do your calculations before coming in, and refrain from asking me, "how much should I tip you?", or "how much should someone tip a tattoo artist?" etc.

    • + Do you offer a touch up appointment?
    •         Upon request only 1-2 months after the first appointment; the tattoo must be completely healed. There will be a $50+ cost (free tattoo touch-ups subject to approval). The price will be established once I examined the healed tattoo photo(s). If I discover extreme negligence in relation to the tattoo, I may have to re-do the entire tattoo, which will cost the original tattoo total, or I reserve the right to not tattoo it again.

    • Should be Empty:
