We have over 35 hours/credits of courses to choose from, or take them all.

For Oregon interpreters, you can take ALL of the required CEU courses including: 6 Ethics Hours, 6 Interpreting Hours, Over 12 hours of general courses to choose from.

What is the difference between continuing education courses and professional development courses?

Continuing Education courses, also called CE or CEU (continuing education units) are required by state or national organizations to maintain your certification or qualification. You must complete the required number of hours and specific courses before your due date and you must submit your certificate of completion to your organization.

Professional Development Courses are developed to improve interpreter's knowledge and skills beyond basic training. Generally, they are not approved for CEs, however, you would still receive a Certificate of Completion after completing the courses. Some of these courses may be applicable for continuing education depending on your certifying organization.
