WA and Oregon Interpreters CE Courses

This worksheet is for interpreters who are signing up for a Course Package. You do not have to complete this worksheet if you have signed up for single courses, or for the Unlimited Course Package only $288.00 (over 45 hours/credits).

The courses are appoved by WA DSHS, and they are accepted by Washington State DSHS, and Oregon Health Authority (OHA). 

Washington State requires:

• 16 General Credits
• 4 Ethics Credits

Oregon State requires:

• 6 Interpreting Skills 
• 6 Ethics
• 12 General Credits

All courses marked DSHS are approved by Washington State and accepted by Oregon state.

Course marked OHA-Ethics is approved by OHA for continuing education for healthcare interpreters in Oregon. All other WA DSHS courses are also approved for Oregon continuing education.

If you would like to submit your Certificate of Completion to NBMCI or CCHI, please contact them directly before signing up for courses and inquire if they accept courses approved by Washington State DSHS and the Oregon State Authority.

Continuing Education Participation Agreement

By creating an account and registering for courses offered by Culture Advantage, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Each continuing education (CE) course I take requires full engagement with all course content, including videos, readings, and assessments.
• All learning activities must be completed and documented in the Learning Management System.
• Certificates for CE credit are valid only upon documented completion of the required course hours.
• I understand that CE certificates may be audited by accrediting bodies or licensing boards, and certificates obtained without meeting the participation requirements may be considered invalid.
• I agree to comply with all policies and requirements of Culture Advantage regarding continuing education.

• 6 Hours Interpreting
• You can choose the Ethics and Interpreting courses below.
• PLUS: Your choice of 12 hours of General Topics. (You can choose from the GENERAL COURSES section.)

The courses must be completed on or before the Course Expiration Date. If a course has expired, we reserve the right to substitute another course of equal or greater value to be completed within your access period.
