  • Values Statements

  • Democracy and Voting Rights
I believe that all of us—no matter who we are or where we live—deserve to live in a democracy that recognizes and upholds our rights, including the right to vote. I believe in defending our democracy and fighting to ensure that we all have the freedom to pick our leaders.

    Racial Justice
I believe in racial justice for all and that the injustice of systemic racism needs to be addressed through, but not limited to, (1) comprehensive criminal justice reform, (2) fundamentally re-imagining police departments and their roles in systemically marginalized communities, particularly Black, Indigenous, Latine, as well as other diaspora communities, that have been historically targeted (3) investment in the aforementioned communities.

Income Inequality and Support for Organized Labor
I believe in taking strong action to reduce income inequality so that everyone in this country has a fair and equitable opportunity to succeed with safe working conditions and protections.

    Immigration Reform
I believe that no human is illegal, and will fight to ensure that all immigrants (documented and undocumented) are treated fairly and equitably.

    LGBTQIA+ Rights
I believe in full equality for the LGBTQIA+ community, including non-discrimination policies for employment, housing, public accommodation, and health care access.

    Gender Equality
I support full gender equality, including equitable health care access, reproductive freedom (including abortion access),, and equal pay regardless of gender assigned at birth.

    Climate Protections
I agree that climate change is human-made, threatening our planet, and needs to be addressed through government action.

    Ending Gun Violence
I believe that everyone has a right to be safe and to live free from gun violence. I agree that the epidemic of gun violence in the United States is a public health epidemic that can be addressed through government action.
