As leaders, women - and women of color - are struggling to get to the very top.
- Less than 26% of CEOs are women and only 4% are held by women of color
Only 10.4% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women
- 2021 was the first time in history that two Black women were appointed CEO of Fortune 500 companies
- In 2022, women made about 82 cents for every dollar earned by a white non-Hispanic man
- Black women make 62 cents for every dollar earned
- Native American women make 57 cents for every dollar earned by a white non-Hispanic man
- Latina women make 54 cents for every dollar a white man earns
- At this rate, Latina women stand to lose $1.2 million dollars over the course of their careers, and Black women stand to lose $964,40
The CWCC and their Foundation (CWCF) is working to change these statistics And we need more dynamic leaders like you.
Join the 2024-2025 Women's Leadership Lab program that is designed to help emerging leaders in manager to director level type roles, individuals with 5+ years of industry experience, or business owners looking to enhance their leadership skills to grow their influence in the community, develop their leadership skills, and build their network.
This program has two key components to develop leaders, that represent four areas of impact and knowledge:
Content: Gain key leadership skills that women need in order to advance from experts and industry leaders, such as: negotiation, board service, strategic alignment, public speaking, being an ally in work, and leading with authenticity and vulnerability.
- Advancement & Retention
- Allyship
- Cultural Norms
- Identity
Capstone Project: In small groups, participants will complete deep work focused on the four impact areas (mentioned above) that are impact women in work and business. These projects will culminate in a public presentation to the CWCC community. In addition to the in-person class hours, this capstone project can be expected to add 5-10 additional hours a month.
Don't take our word for it, hear from leaders who have gone through the program say:
"Who I am, who I become, what path I choose and how live my life has been altered and defined by this group and can't express my gratitude enough for what that means. I had been looking for something like this and when it fell into my lap I couldn't sign up fast enough and it has STILL far exceeded my expectations." - Caroline Arendall
"I've definitely grown more confident in my own leadership skills in the few months of participating in the CWCC's Women of Influence and Impact. I've been forced out of my comfort zone on several occasions and that has given me the confidence to venture out of my comfort zone back at work." - Jessica Hudgins, Goodwill Industries of Denver
"One of the best parts of the program was the ability to connect with other like-minded, Inspirational women!" - Jennifer Case, Vectra Bank
