Responsibilities: Tool Coordinator Assistant (TCA)

The most important role of every JP staffer is to be a Christian witness in word and deed. Secondly, it is to spend time with the campers, build relationships, and contribute to establishing and maintaining a Christian community.

As the TCA, you will provide consistent support to the Tool/Site Coordinator as it relates to worksites and tools. You will work closely with the TC and the Camp Director to assist in executing day-to-day operations. You will most likely serve as a site leader each day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and offer support to the TC as it relates to assistance with tools, materials & supplies, and coordination of work sites.
- Time commitment: 1 week (Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning)
- Must have completed 12th grade by the summer.
- $200.00 Stipend will be provided.

There are many factors involved when placing JP Staff members on a camp week. We must also take into consideration the JP staff as a team. Factors such as the strengths of staff members, the age and gender of staff members and also a balance of new staff and veteran staff members will be considered. All week placement dates will be discussed with each staff member to confirm their availability.

You will also be given the opportunity to register to serve with JP for two weeks of camp. If you are interested in serving two JP weeks please be sure to indicate that on the application.

The more weeks you are able to check that you are available, the easier it will be to ensure you are placed on a camp week!

Please Note: You may not be guaranteed to staff the week your home church attends. Thank you for understanding!

Staff Training
Staff Training at the Jeremiah Project is a significant piece of our staffing model. During staff training you will hang out and get to know a group of strangers who will quickly become your new JP Staff family. There are late nights together of laughing, talking and getting to know each other and growing together towards God. You will be trained and grow in confidence on how to lead a worksite and begin preparations for the arrival of your campers!

Staff Training is included in the week you serve. You will need to arrive at Staff Training on Saturday by 12:00pm. All staffers MUST attend camp from the entirety of Staff Training and the camp week.

Additional Requirements
As part of the leadership team, you will need to have a vehicle in camp with you all week. You will be driving to your worksite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of your camp week.

Background Checks
The safety and security of those whom God has placed in our care is of the utmost importance to the Jeremiah Project. It is because of this responsibility that JP runs comprehensive background checks on all JP staff and volunteers. If you are accepted in a JP Staff position and are over the age of 18, then a background check must be completed. We have partnered with a professional screening company and will provide you with a secure electronic release form and background check form.
