    This form serves as an official process for clubs or event organisers to request match officials for their games. Its purpose is to ensure the correct allocation of qualified referees and assistant referees for matches. Referee requests are only accepted outside of season

  • Referee Request Policy

    Football Victoria Referee's Department requires 7 days notice for all friendly fixtures (including gala days) and 21 days for tournaments. 

    • Admin Fee (2026): Match official requests for games within 2026 will incur a fee of 5% of the total cost of match officials for that game (charged at the end of the month to the requesting team);
    • Amendment Fee: Any changes to fixtures after submission will incur a $25 amendment fee per change, applicable to kick-off date/time, venue or age group (charged at the end of the month to the requesting team);
    • Cancellation Fee: Any cancellations after submission will incur a $25 cancellation fee (charged at the end of the month to the requesting team);
    • Any friendly fixture requests that are submitted with less then 7 days notice will incur a $50 late fee (charged at the end of the month to the requesting team);

    We kindly ask that you submit your friendly fixtures in advance to allow sufficient time for us to organise match officials for your game. All friendly fixture requests for matches in season will not have a referee appointed. Referees are prioritised to in season matches.
