• Thank you for considering volunteering at Sinks Canyon Trail Races! All volunteer times are for Saturday, June 7th, unless indicated. You may choose as many time slots that works in your schedule. Please be sure the volunteer times do not overlap. If you have time conflicts that do not match the times exactly, you can still sign up. Please just email us the time conflict so we can plan accordingly. landerrunning@gmail.com

    All volunteers will receive a volunteer specific shirt. If weather permits, we would appreciate you wearing your shirt so runners can identity you as a volunteer.

  • Bib Pickup - FRIDAY

    • Where: Wild Iris Mountain Sports
    • Report to: Jenny, Emily, Gabe
    1. Help set up tables at Wild Iris Mountain Sports
    2. Hand out assigned bib numbers according to registration sheet
    3. Hand out shirts to participants who ordered them
    4. Help take down tables and pack up supplies

  • Bib Pickup 

    • Where: Start/Finish at Bruce's- Big white tent
    • Report to: Jenny, Gabe, or Emily
    1. Help set up tables in tent
    2. Hand out assigned bib numbers according to registration sheet
    3. Hand out shirts to participants who ordered them
    4. Help take down tables and and reset for food

  • Parking Assistant

    • Where: Bruce's Parking
    • Report to: Bill Lee
    1. Direct cars to parking locations.
    2. Maximize space and ensure participants are parking appropriately.

  • Racer Check in

    • Where: Start/Finish at Bruce's- Timing Tent
    • Report to: Emily and Matt Herr
    1. Check off racer/bib # on provided start checklist. starting 45 minutes prior to start of races (Start times: 6:15 am, 8:00 am, 8:30 am).
    2. Direct runners to walk through timing arch to ensure bib chip is activated.
    3. Communicate missing racers to Race Director and timing tent.

  • Race Photographer

    • Where: Race Course
    • Report to: Specific location
    1. Capture the magical moments.
    2. Situate yourself near the listed coordinates, considering the light and scenery. Feel free to move along the trail where you see best fit.
    3. Share photos with race directors after the race (Google Photos is best).

  • Fairfield Aid Station 

    • Captain Reports to: Jenny at Start/Finish

    • From Sinks Canyon Road, take the Vanessa St. two track road to the Fairfield saddle (about 3.5 miles.) Please plan accordingly as this road" requires travel by foot, horse, or a reliable off road vehicle.

  • Kids Race Registration and Race Support

    • Where: Start/Finish at Bruce's (Big White tent)
    • Report to: Emily
    1. Hand out bibs to registered kids. 
    2. Sign up kids. Record name, age, gender, parent contact, and parent waiver signature
    3. Assign bib number, record on form, hand bib to kid.
    4. Give signup sheet with bib numbers to timing tent.
    5. Walk to turnaround (½ KM from start)- coordinates
    6. High-five kids at turn around!

  • Finish Line Support

    • Where: Start/Finish at Bruce's (Big White tent)
    • Report to: Gabe and Linda
    1. Set up tables for food and drinks
    2. Refill water jugs with Skratch
    3. Help serve food and wash dishes
    4. Barista at the soda stream bar
    5. Help clean up at the end of the race.
