Our Story
Cloud Mountain Arts Camp's home, Sweet Pea Farm, is a very special place (see location below) for our family. It is where our daughter, Juniper, was a camper and ultimately a Junior Counselor for seven glorious summers! We loved Sweet Pea Farm Camp and its creator, Ms. Patti, and we love this land, so when the opportunity arose to run a program here, we jumped on it!
Meg Winnecour, Camp Director, has been a working artist and art educator for over 30 years. Meg left her beloved role at Hanger Hall School in 2023 to start her own business, Cloud Collective Residency, where she teaches creativity workshops, provides 1-1 mentorship to emerging and established artists and creators of all kinds, hosts long-term creative residents, and leads art-focused retreats in Provence, France. She has run arts-focused summer camps for many summers because she loves helping kids discover and explore their creativity. Feel free to email Meg at cloudcollectiveresidency@gmail.com should you have any additional questions.
Josh and Juniper Winnecour are part of Meg's trusted support team. Josh is currently a school nurse, CPR/First Aid Instructor and has been a Registered Nurse and Outward Bound instructor for over 25 years. Juniper is a high school student who will be one of several counselors in the Day Camp and a participant in the teen immersion before she leaves us for her own summer program at North Carolina School for the Arts!
