This moving presentation explores how music and prayer at Auschwitz-Birkenau, though entwined with violence, became acts of spiritual and even armed resistance, reflected in the lives and writings of Louis Bannet, Alma Rosé, and Elie Wiesel. Originally presented at the 2025 international symposium at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial, this presentation includes survivor testimony and brief musical excerpts.
