DEADLINE: Two weeks after your District Conference, no later than February 1st

We owe it to our members to provide the opportunity for all eligible members to be able to compete and represent their chapter at the State Career Development Conference.

Please complete this form if you have a student or team who qualified to attend the State Conference and they are NOT able to attend or compete in their qualified event. This will allow Michigan DECA to notify the next qualifier in a timely manner.

Chapters that do not inform us if a qualifier is not attending or competing in their District event by the deadline will run the risk of being placed on a list to not to be notified any alternates for one year. Which will be for the 2026 International Conference and 2027 State Conference.
DEADLINE: March 15th or Earlier

Please complete this form if you have a student or team who qualified to attend the International Conference and they are NOT able to attend or compete in their qualified event. This will allow Michigan DECA to notify the next qualifier in a timely manner.

Chapters that do not inform us of a qualifier is not attending or competing in their SCDC event by the deadline will run the risk of being placed on a one year probation.

Which means that chapter will not:
- Be eligible to receive alternate slot for their chapter
- Be permitted to send students to academies at ICDC
These sanctions will apply to the 2028 State Conference and the 2028 International Conference.

A Qualifier Not Attending form submitted after the deadline will only be considered without penalty if a letter is submitted by your school's Principal explaining why the cancellation is coming after the deadline.
